BEQAA VALLEY (LUBNAN), April 8 (Bernama) — A young Syrian refugee Marwan Khalid, 12, sitting and holding his new limb for photograph at Zairuti camp in Central Beqaa, yesterday.

His left foot was being cut off by doctors in an operation after his left foot was severely injured because of a bomb blast near his home in Homs, Syria four years ago.

He is a young man with an ambition to become a professional hairstylist even though he is considered a disabled person and a war runaway.

Marwan finally receives an artificial limb for his left foot through the Step & Peace Project which is a collaboration program between Mapim and NGO from Lebanon, Balsama Center as a result of the joint concern of Malaysians who contributed through MAPIM.
