The government is committed to in helping the Chinese community attain economic and quality education.
Due to this, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced that he is prepared to approve more Chinese vernacular schools as many Malaysians came from such schools.
Speaking in front of more than 15,000 people at the Chinese Community Patriotic Assembly at the Putra World Trade Centre, PWTC on Saturday, Datuk Seri Najib said the matter would be discussed with component parties in Barisan Nasional such as MCA, Gerakan and SUPP to ensure that it was a collective decision.
In another note, the premier also reminded that the government is dedicated to fight the Daesh Group and ensure that they do not do any harm to anyone including the Chinese in the country.
Also present at the event were MCA President Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai and his deputy Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, Gerakan President Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong, badminton superstar Datuk Lee Chong Wei and various Chinese community leaders.
